Sir William Stephenson, also known as “Intrepid,” was a British businessman, spymaster, and inventor who played a crucial role in the Allied intelligence efforts during World War II. As the head of British Security Coordination (BSC) in New York, he oversaw a vast network of agents and operations that gathered intelligence and conducted sabotage missions. Stephenson’s close relationship with MI6 and the American intelligence community enabled him to establish vital wartime alliances and contribute significantly to the Allied victory.
